Frequently Asked Questions

Vishi’s nutrition practice is currently conducted online. While we don’t offer in-person consultations at the moment, virtual sessions provide a highly effective and convenient way to connect. Through video consultations, Vishi ensures that clients receive personalized guidance, ongoing support, and actionable recommendations—all from the comfort of their own space. This approach allows for flexible scheduling, making it easier to fit nutrition counseling into busy lifestyles. Despite being remote, these sessions are designed to be just as engaging and impactful as in-person meetings, ensuring that clients receive the same level of care, attention, and results-driven strategies for their health and wellness goals.

Payment for your consultation with Vishi is processed directly via credit or debit card at the time of booking your initial consultation. To ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for follow up sessions and treatment programs, your card details are securely stored on file and will be automatically charged once your session concludes. This streamlined process allows for a seamless checkout, so you can focus on your health journey without any payment-related concerns. If you have any questions regarding the payment process or need assistance with billing, feel free to reach out before your appointment, and we’ll be happy to help.

At this time, Vishi is not directly contracted with any insurance companies. However, we can provide you with a superbill—a detailed receipt of services—which you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Coverage for holistic health coaching and nutrition services varies widely depending on your specific insurance plan. Some major insurance companies may offer partial or full reimbursement for nutrition-related services, but this is often limited to certain diagnoses or a set number of visits.

If you are considering using insurance, we strongly recommend checking with your provider in advance to determine your eligibility for coverage.

Vishi understands that schedules can change, and we strive to be as flexible as possible while ensuring that appointment slots remain available for those who need them.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

  • 24-Hour Notice for Full Refund: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows us to offer the time slot to another client. Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance will receive a full refund or can be rescheduled without any penalty.
  • Late Cancellations (Less than 24 Hours’ Notice): If you cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours of your appointment, you will be charged 50% of the session fee. This is because it becomes difficult to fill the slot on short notice.
  • Same-Day Cancellations &  No-Shows: Cancellations made within 12 hours or less of the appointment time will be charged the full session fee. Similarly, if you do not show up for your scheduled session without prior notice, the full amount will be charged, and the session cannot be rescheduled.
  • Late Arrivals: If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the session may be considered a no-show, and the full fee will be charged. If time permits, we will do our best to accommodate a shortened session, but we cannot guarantee a full-length appointment.

We appreciate your understanding, as this policy ensures fairness to both clients and the practice. If you have any questions about cancellations or need to reschedule, please reach out as soon as possible—we’re happy to assist!

The ideal length and frequency of your health coaching program is 4 months but largely depends on your individual goals, current health status, and the level of support you feel you need. There is no one-size-fits-all approach, as every client’s journey is unique.

Initial Phase: Building Momentum

Many clients find that meeting every two weeks at the start of their program helps create consistency and steady progress. Regular check-ins allow for ongoing guidance, adjustments, and accountability, which can be crucial in forming new habits and implementing sustainable lifestyle changes.

If you prefer more frequent support, you may choose weekly 60 or 30 minute sessions, which can be beneficial for those looking for continuous motivation and structured, step-by-step guidance. Shorter but more frequent meetings help you stay on track, troubleshoot challenges as they arise, and maintain focus on your goals.

Transition Phase: Adjusting and Maintaining Progress

As you make progress and become more confident in your ability to sustain healthy habits, you may find that less frequent sessions work better. Many clients transition to monthly or bi-monthly sessions once they have established a solid foundation and feel comfortable making changes independently while still having access to expert support when needed.

Long-Term Support: Maintaining Results

Once your goals are achieved and stabilized, you might choose to check in every 2 to 3 months for ongoing maintenance. These sessions help ensure that you stay on track, address any new concerns, and fine-tune your plan as your needs evolve.

Ultimately, your health coaching journey is completely customizable, and we’ll work together to determine the best schedule based on your progress, motivation, and personal preferences. Whether you need structured weekly guidance or periodic check-ins, Vishi is here to support you every step of the way!

The frequency of your sessions with Vishi will depend on your personal goals, progress, and the level of support you feel you need. Every individual is different, so we will work together to determine a schedule that fits your lifestyle and keeps you on track.

Getting Started: Building a Strong Foundation

At the beginning of your health journey, regular check-ins are often the most beneficial. Many clients find that meeting every 2 weeks helps build momentum and ensures steady progress toward their health goals. These sessions provide guidance, accountability, and support as you implement new habits and navigate any challenges.

For those who prefer more frequent support, deleted some stuff shorter but more frequent visits can be particularly helpful in the early stages, allowing for ongoing adjustments, troubleshooting, and motivation. If you thrive with consistent check-ins and structured guidance, this approach may work well for you.

Adjusting as You Progress

As you start feeling more confident in your ability to maintain healthy habits and make informed decisions, we may gradually reduce the frequency of sessions. Many clients transition to monthly or bi-monthly sessions once they’ve established a strong foundation but still want continued support. This phase helps fine-tune your strategies and keeps you accountable while allowing you more independence.

Long-Term Maintenance & Ongoing Support

Once your goals are met and you feel comfortable with your routine, you may choose to schedule check-ins every 2 to 4 months for maintenance. These sessions provide an opportunity to assess your progress, address any new concerns, and make adjustments to ensure long-term success.

Customized to Your Needs

Ultimately, the frequency of your sessions will be tailored to what works best for you.
Whether you prefer structured weekly meetings, periodic check-ins, or a flexible approach, we will decide together based on your goals, motivation, and available resources. Vishi is here to support you every step of the way, ensuring you have the tools and guidance you need to achieve lasting health and wellness.

Vishi takes a balanced and personalized approach when it comes to supplements and herbs. While diet and lifestyle changes form the foundation of her health coaching approach, there are situations where targeted supplementation may be beneficial.

When Are Supplements or Herbs Recommended? Vishi only recommends supplements or herbs when she believes they can make a meaningful impact on your well-being and help address underlying health concerns.
Every recommendation is evidence-based, ensuring that any supplement suggested is well-researched, safe, and aligned with your unique needs. Supplements are not intended to replace a healthy diet but rather to complement it—acting as a bridge to help correct deficiencies, support healing, and optimize your health.

For many clients, nutrition and lifestyle changes alone can be sufficient. However, in cases where lab work or symptoms indicate a nutrient deficiency, digestive imbalance, or chronic stress affecting your well-being, the right supplements can provide valuable support. That said, the goal is not to rely on supplements indefinitely but to use them strategically while working toward long-term health improvements through whole foods, movement, stress management, and other sustainable lifestyle changes.

Vishi specializes in a holistic, evidence-based approach to nutrition and wellness, focusing on key areas such as gut health, gut dysbiosis, blood sugar imbalance, and sustainable weight management. Her expertise extends beyond just diet recommendations—she helps clients understand the root causes of their health concerns and provides tailored strategies to restore balance and well-being.

Gastrointestinal Health (Gut Health)

Vishi has extensive personal experience in digestive health and works with clients experiencing a range of gastrointestinal issues, including:

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) – Helping manage symptoms like bloating, gas, diarrhea, and constipation through personalized nutrition strategies.

  • Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) & Intestinal Methanogen Overgrowth (IMO) – Addressing underlying microbial imbalances that cause digestive discomfort.

  • Mold Toxicity (Ochratoxin A) – Supporting individuals with CIRS to manage inflammation and nutrient absorption.

  • Food Sensitivities & Intolerances – Identifying trigger foods and guiding clients toward an optimal, gut-friendly diet.
  • Acid Reflux & GERD – Offering dietary and lifestyle modifications to reduce heartburn and discomfort.

  • Microbiome Imbalances & Dysbiosis – Supporting gut bacteria health for improved digestion, immunity, and overall well-being.

  • Gallbladder & Pancreatic Health Issues – Helping clients with dietary strategies for conditions affecting fat digestion and enzyme production.
  • Other – Weight Management, Blood Sugar Dysregulation (Hypo and Hyperglycemia), PCOS (PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome), Cholesterol and Blood Pressure Issues, Constipation, Diarrhea, Heartburn, Gas, Bloating, Food Sensitivities/Intolerances, Stress, Anxiety and Depression as well.
  • Since gut health is closely linked to overall well-being—including immune function, mental health, and metabolism—Vishi’s approach focuses on healing the gut from the inside out with nutrition, lifestyle shifts, and targeted support. She believes and understands that all disease begins in the gut and that “A Happy Gut Is A Happy Brain”.

Vishi understands that each client’s health journey is unique and works closely with individuals to develop personalized nutrition and lifestyle plans. Whether you are struggling with digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, blood sugar concerns, or simply want to improve your relationship with food, Vishi is here to provide expert guidance and long-term support.

Vishi’s approach to wellness is holistic, science-based, and personalized, focusing on uncovering and addressing the root causes of health imbalances rather than just managing symptoms. She believes that the body has an incredible ability to heal when given the right support, and her goal is to guide you toward long-term well-being through a combination of nutrition, lifestyle changes, and targeted support.

A Root-Cause Approach

Instead of temporary fixes, Vishi looks at the underlying reasons behind health issues such as digestive problems, hormonal imbalances, and metabolic concerns. By considering factors like nutrition, gut health, stress, sleep, and overall lifestyle, she helps you create a foundation for sustainable healing.

Food as the Foundation of Healing

Vishi follows a food-first philosophy, meaning that she prioritizes nourishing, whole foods to restore balance and improve health. She believes that the right foods can:

  • Support digestion and gut health.

  • Regulate hormones and metabolism.

  • Reduce inflammation and improve energy levels.

While she may recommend supplements or herbs when needed, these are used thoughtfully and temporarily—never as a replacement for a well-balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

A Comprehensive & Personalized Approach

Vishi integrates different healing modalities to create a well-rounded, personalized care plan:

  • Functional Nutrition – Using evidence-based strategies to optimize digestion, metabolism, and overall health.

  • Ayurveda/Lifestyle Medicine – Addressing factors like doshas, stress, sleep, movement, and mindset to create a balanced lifestyle.

  • Nutraceuticals & Botanicals – Offering supplement recommendations only when necessary to support healing.

A Supportive & Collaborative Process

Vishi understands that making changes can be challenging, so she works with you at your own pace. Rather than strict rules, she helps you build sustainable habits that fit into your daily life. Her approach is about guiding, educating, and empowering you, so you feel confident in making the best choices for your health.

Healing is a journey, and Vishi is here to support you every step of the way—helping you regain balance, feel your best, and achieve long-term well-being.

Vishi brings a diverse and deeply rooted educational background to her work as a holistic nutritionist and health coach, blending modern science with ancient healing traditions. Her training spans across multiple disciplines, which allows her to offer a truly integrative approach to wellness.

She is a Board-Certified Member of both the American Association of Natural and Wellness Coaches (AANWC) and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP)—recognized organizations that ensure high standards in the field of natural health and wellness.

Vishi is a certified Functional Nutrition Coach (CFNC), having graduated from the highly regarded Functional Nutrition Alliance School, where she completed the Full Body Systems Program under the guidance of Andrea Nakayama. This training equips her with a strong foundation in clinical nutrition, systems biology, and root-cause healing strategies.

In addition to her functional nutrition education, Vishi holds credentials in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. She earned her qualifications as an Ayurvedic Health Educator and Ayurvedic Health Counselor (AHC) from the Mount Madonna Institute College of Ayurveda in Watsonville, California—one of the most respected Ayurvedic institutions in the U.S.

Her dedication to holistic healing doesn’t stop there. Vishi has also undergone intensive spiritual and breathwork training, completing Level 1 & Level 2 Kundalini Kriya Yoga Teacher Training at Sri Yogastha Vidyashala, a well-known spiritual sciences academy based in Rishikesh, India.

On the academic side, Vishi’s roots in science are equally strong. She holds a Master’s Degree in Forensic Science with a specialization in DNA analysis from UC Davis, California. Prior to that, she earned both a Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biotechnology from Panjab University, India—establishing a solid scientific foundation that supports her evidence-based approach to nutrition and health.

Altogether, Vishi’s credentials reflect her unique ability to bridge the gap between conventional science, functional nutrition, and ancient healing wisdom—making her approach not only comprehensive but also deeply personalized.

That’s a great question — and an honest one. While I truly wish I could offer a guarantee, the truth is that healing is a unique and personal journey, and it doesn’t always follow a straight path. There are many factors involved in your health — some that we can control, and others that we can’t. So, I cannot promise specific outcomes or timelines.

What I can guarantee is my full commitment to supporting you throughout your journey. When we work together, you’ll have someone who is:

  • 100% dedicated to helping you feel your best
  • Thorough in identifying what may be contributing to your symptoms
  • Focused on getting to the root cause of what’s going on
  • Continually learning and researching to bring you the most up-to-date, evidence-based guidance

You’ll never be left to figure things out alone — I’ll be right there with you, offering personalized care, honest communication, and tools that support healing from the inside out.

Most importantly, this is a team effort. When we both show up fully — you with your willingness to engage in the process, and me with my professional expertise and care — real, lasting progress is absolutely possible. Many of my clients do see meaningful improvements in how they feel, and I’ll always do everything I can to help you get there, too.

Great question — and one I hear often! There are a lot of programs out there for SIBO, mold illness, and chronic gut issues, but what makes my approach truly different is that it’s based on Vishi’s own vast experience and profound research since she has been down that road herself. She knows how rocky the road is and how to turn pitfalls into breakthroughs. Therefore, it’s a completely personalized healing experience

Here’s how my programs stand out:

1. Rooted in Functional + Holistic Principles

My programs are grounded in functional and integrative nutrition, combining evidence-based science with a whole-person approach. That means I don’t just focus on symptoms — I look at the underlying causes, including gut function, detox pathways, nutrient deficiencies, immune triggers, stress, and even emotional health.

2. Your Body, Your Story, Your Plan

No two people are the same — even if they have the same diagnosis. Your health history, current lifestyle, environment, mindset, and even energetic patterns are all unique to YOU. That’s why I tailor each program to meet your specific needs. Whether you’re dealing with long-standing mold toxicity, recurring SIBO, or both, we work together to create a plan that fits your pace and lifestyle.

3. Options for Every Stage of Your Healing

I know that healing from chronic conditions can be time-consuming and expensive — which is why my programs are designed with flexibility in mind. Whether you”re ready for full 1:1 coaching and accountability or you prefer to work more independently with guidance, there’s an option that suits your goals, time, and budget.

Yes, absolutely! I’m happy to work with clients from all around the world. My practice is fully virtual, which means you can access nutrition and holistic health support from wherever you are — as long as you have a stable internet connection.

All consultations are held via secure video calls and are scheduled according to Pacific Standard Time (PST). Appointments are typically available Monday through Friday, between 10 AM and 6 PM PST. If you”re in a different time zone, you can still book sessions that work for both of us — I’ll do my best to accommodate you based on availability.

A Few Things to Note for International Clients:

  • Lab Testing:

Currently, I only arrange lab work within the U.S. Due to international restrictions, I’m unable to order labs outside the country. However, if testing is part of your plan, you can often access similar lab services through your local clinic or healthcare provider. In some cases, I may be able to refer you to trusted international lab partners — feel free to reach out for suggestions.

  • Language:

All consultations, communication, and program materials are provided in English or Hindi, so a basic understanding of the language is necessary to work together effectively.

  • Digital Access:

Whether you”re joining a personalized coaching program or one of my structured health plans, everything is delivered online — so you can move through the materials at your own pace, on your own schedule.

No matter where you live, if you’re ready to take a step toward better health, I’m here to support you with personalized guidance, education, and a holistic approach that fits your lifestyle and needs. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions about how international care works — I’d love to help!

That’s a really important and thoughtful question — and I completely understand wanting to take things step by step.

In my practice, the journey typically begins by taking an initial consultation with me which is for about 90 mins. Because true healing — especially when it comes to complex issues like SIBO, mold illness, or chronic gut imbalances — takes time, strategy, and consistent support. A single consultation on its own, while helpful, often doesn’t provide enough space for deep progress. This is when enrolling into her 4 month program, is extremely empowering and beneficial. These are comprehensive support plans that are structured to give you not only expert guidance, but also a clear, step-by-step path toward healing.

This structure ensures you’re not just getting advice — you’re getting a whole system of care, built around you.

Still Unsure About Committing?

If you’re feeling unsure about which program is the best fit, or if you’d just like to connect before diving in, I invite you to schedule a free 15 minute discovery session. This is a low-pressure way for us to chat briefly, get a sense of where you’re at in your health journey, and answer any questions you might have about working together. After that, you can choose the program that aligns with your needs and goals, and then we’ll begin with your Initial Consultation.
